Year 2025

ANNOTATION

Give teams more than just a retro or teambuilding

The world around teams is fast-paced and constantly changing. Together, we’ll explore how to create a steady point within that chaos: a confident and aligned team.
We’ll introduce our concept of a team offsite – approach that helps teams collaborate more effectively, grow sustainably, and evolve alongside the organization. We’ll also share our own journey, including how we gained leadership support, developers time, and secured a budget for this work.
What to expect from the workshop:
– We’ll walk through the core principles of a team offsite and how to tailor it to your team’s specific needs.
– You’ll experience hands-on activities based on real-life team situations (e.g. a newly formed team, team reshuffling, or transition from single-specialty team to end-to-end setup).
– You’ll be given some tools and insights you can immediately apply in your own teams.

Kamila Cingrošová

Kamila is an agile coach with 14 years of experience in the telco and insurance industries, where she worked as a product manager and product owner. At Direct pojišťovna, she was part of the early agile transformation and helped both teams and leadership establish a new way of working. Thanks to her product background, she understands business needs well – she knows how to work with a product vision and inspire the team to follow it.
Today, she combines strategic thinking with a focus on psychological safety, partnership, and sustainable change. She holds an ICF-accredited coaching certification, has completed a scrum facilitation course by scrum.org, and is currently studying nonviolent communication – because she believes the way we lead dialogue shapes team culture.
She strives to create work environments where people can be themselves, take ownership, and grow together – not just for performance, but for their own well-being.

Petr Šokin

Petr started out as a developer and now supports a sixty-person development team and a team of agile coaches at Direct pojišťovna. He focuses on building self-managing teams, promoting flat structures, and creating an environment based on trust and collaboration.
At Direct, he was part of the early agile transformation and helped both teams and leadership establish a new way of working. Over time, he led the transition to end-to-end teams – phasing out standalone analyst and tester roles and building those competencies directly within the teams. This was followed by the development of T-shape skills, and today he is focused on introducing team self-design and strengthening collaboration between development and business.
Petr is an active member of the agile community – he enjoys learning from others and giving back. He regularly organizes Letní Ag(r)ilovačka, a summer gathering that mixes agility with barbecue and brings together people who want to rethink how teams work.
He believes that teams can operate independently when they have a clear vision, enough space, and mutual trust – and that’s what he works toward every day.
